After having breakfast we found out what we were doing and went upstairs to gather all the things we needed. We headed out to the top of Cefn Bryn, where while we were waiting for the last group of children, we walked down to King Arthur’s Stone and had a game of Eagle Eye (Eagle Eye is like Hide and Seek, but the seeker cannot move around, and the person who was closest to them, who did not get seen is the winner). When the other group arrived, we started a nice long walk across Cefn Bryn all the way till we ended up at Three Cliffs Bay.
At Three Cliffs, we hopped over the river till we reached the sand dune at the bottom of Pennard Castle. Here the children had a choice of things they could do. They could go for a paddle in the river, some of the paddles turned into a swim with children completely soaked through. They could play on the sand dunes, by walking up and then trying to run down; quite a few of the children fell over at the bottom. Some of the children then climbed all the way to the top of the sand dunes and up to Pennard Castle. It was really hard to walk up in the sand, but the view at the top was amazing.
Following on from all that fun, we headed off up the valley to meet the busses at Shepherds. We travelled back to Dan y Coed, tired and worn out.
For tea we had really nice pizza, potato wedges and salad, followed by apple crumble and custard for desert.
To finish the night off, we decided to not go to Blackpill, but instead head in the opposite direction to Verdi’s. Here we used our money to buy ourselves an ice cream; some of us had massive 2 scoop ice-creams. However some of us got so excited that our ice cream fell out of the cone on to the floor. With our ice-creams in hand we headed off back along the track to the play area in Oystermouth where we had a quick 15 minute run around. A nice stroll back to Dan y Coed followed, where once back we watched the end of Night at the Museum and headed off to bed.
It was a really tiring day, but with a good rest tonight we are looking forward to a day in Clyne Woods tomorrow.
