Today was a great first day. We left school early and arrived at Dan-y-Coed House. First we got shown our rooms and started to make ourselves comfortable. After that, we went downstairs and met our instructors, Tony and Chris. We went on a minibus to Bracelet Bay and walked down the side of the hill onto the beach. From there we scrambled over the rocks, searching for crabs and starfish in the rock pools that were all over the place. Later we found a cave and climbed our way through the tiny entrance, through the dark and up to the top of the hill. It was really scary inside. Tony said that last week there were baby pigeons at the top of the cave. We worked our way around Mumbles Head, past the lighthouse and back to the minibus.
Once we got back, we had delicious pasta bake, salad and garlic bread. In the evening we walked over to Blackpill, where some of the children played on the equipment, some went swimming and others played football. We had a treat to watch a group of free runners performing tricks over the tables. It was amazing.
We had a super day and can't wait till tomorrow.
